Congratulations to the Mini Tones on their FIRST PLACE finish at Music in the Parks. They received an Excellent Rating for their performance. GREAT JOB!
Sarah will be participating in the All-State Concert Band From April 3-6, 2019. The PMEA State Conference and Festival is being held in Pittsburgh at the David Lawrence Convention Center. The National Association for Music Education is also hosting their All-East conference and festivals at this location as well. It is a rare occasion that both of these events are occurring at the same location. The All-State Concert Band Concert is on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 AM at the convention center. This is the first time a student has attended an all-state band festival since 2011 from our school. We are very proud of Sarah's hard work and dedication that got her this far.

WAY TO GO SHC FBLA!!!
Below are some exciting new things going on in the Ag Department at SHC.
The big blue tank is the new Hydroponics System where we are simultaneously raising fish and tomatoes/pepper plants together. The water from the fish tank is being cycled to the plants providing nutrients.
The small glass aquarium is our trout in the classroom tank where students are raising brook trout to release in to the Three Springs Creek. Students are learning about the life cycle of trout and water quality parameters.
SHC FFA had a great Mid-Winter convention and PA Farm Show.
Mikara Anderson placed first in her Agriscience Fair category, which was Environmental Natural Resources, received her State FFA Keystone Degree, and was awarded the State Farmer Award for her efforts her in SAE projects. The chapter also had three first year members who received their FFA jackets. They were Mindee Anderson, Kenedee Doyle, and Tara Piper.
Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to the following students for their selection to County Chorus!
