  • CONGRATULATIONS to the

    SHC Cheerleaders...

     

    The SHC Competition Squad competed at the 5th annual United High School "Rumble in the Jungle" in the Game Day division. The girls won their division, and out of all morning cheer squads they had they highest score! Therefore; they were named GRAND CHAMPIONS. Next, they will compete at Slippery Rock University in the UCA (Universal Cheerleading Association) Regional Competition on December 2nd. They will be competing to get a bid to attend the UCA National Cheerleading Championships in February. GOOD LUCK!!!

  • PennDOT Announces Winners of

    “Paint the Plow” Contest

     

    Hollidaysburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is pleased to announce the winners of the District 9 “Paint the Plow” contest which wrapped up yesterday. Each county has a “Fan Favorite” and Judges Pick winner. The judges pick was chosen by a panel of judges in each county. The “Fan Favorite” was chosen by Facebook users by “liking” their favorite in the contest photo albums on the PennDOT Facebook page. The winners are:

    Congratulations to Telah Zinobile, Chelsea Shaw, Savanna Reeder, Makayla White, and Rebecca Christophel who all helped paint the plow. Design was mostly created by Telah Zinobile with help from Chelsea Shaw and Jacob Christophel on some items. Way to go SHC!!!

  • Above are pictures from the Advanced Biology and the AP Environmental Science students who have been conducting stream studies in the Aughwick Creek near the high school.  The studies include physical features, water chemistry, macroinvertebrates, etc.
